Stupid studying. It's getting very annoying. I have a very difficult time focusing and I can't really figure out why. Probably because none of my exams are until Monday so I'm putting it off, and off, and off, and such. Bah. In any event, it's over soon. Hopefully, I'll keep my GPA above 3.0. If not, issues will exist.

Am I the only loser taking summer classes? I guess it's worth it as I'll have 40 credits after the summer is over. In other news, did anyone know that it's hot out? Too hot, really. Oh well.

Woohoo.

First set of exams done. Can't say how well I did... but they're done, and that's what counts (for the most part).

Statics - Awaiting grade (not too hard)
Physics - got a B, works for me (ooh, rhyming)
Linear Algebra - Awaiting grade (not difficult, but had to work fast to finish on time)
Chemistry - Think I hit my desired 50 - 60 range (which, with curve, should give me a C or so, woot)

Now I just need to decide if I want to do Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Ah, quite the difficult and important decision. You see, I was all set to do EE, but some people whose opinions I respect told me that Rutgers' EE, while very good, is very focused around VLSI (in English, chip design), as that's what gets money for the U. And of course, I've tried to answer my own question by analyzing what it is I want to do. My two disparate interests put me in a predicament. Those interests being networking systems (hardware and software aspects) and automobile electronics (engine management and the like). The former centers around Electrical and Computer Engineering, whereas the latter requires equal skill in both Mechanical (LOTS of thermodynamics) and Electrical Engineering. Sounds like a job for a double-major in ME and EE, only that would take somewhere on the order of 6 years, averaging 17 or so credits a semester, which is more than I can manage with work now. Any suggestions folks?

    <lj:music>Miles Davis, Workin': Four</lj:music>

Well, wow. This is certainly strange. Hmm. Is there really anything to say? I came across a Robert Frost quote that is really apt at the moment: "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." So that's basically how I feel right now.

School has been such a joke this year that I feel I don't even need summer. I'm quite ready to just start school now. However, I'm starting a new job working at Rutgers full time. It should be quite beneficial to learning the campus for when I have to get around next year. So aside from vacation, today was my only day off of the "summer." Heh.

That's it for now, I'm sure I'll have more to say later.

As numerous as the people who I have no like for in high school are, the small number of people that I am close to make it very difficult to say goodbye. It feels strange, but I knew it was coming, so more than strange, it is sad.
